Francesco Acciai specializes in the study of demography, as well as health, economic, and racial inequalities. His recent research has focused on the decomposition of lifespan variability and racial inequality in life expectancy in the United States, and on cross-national comparative analysis of physical and mental health among older Europeans. His research has been published in PNAS, Demography, Demographic Research, Journal of Health and Social Behavior.
